These 3 secret hacks will help YOU with autism shutdowns, fast and effective! Autism shutdowns can be disabling and can leave you feeling exhausted fed up and drained of energy. Autism Shutdowns happen similarly to the reasons of an autism meltdown happening where you have over stimulation or an overload of information that causes this shutdown. It’s difficult to prevent a shutdown from happening because you were aware of the situation that’s going on but there are some things you can do to help lessen the impact to help you recover quickly from the shutdown and this is exactly what I’m talking about here. 1. Alert Someone ASAP Try to alert someone who are with as soon as possible to tell them you are not feeling good and a potential shutdown may occur. 2. Count In Your Head Try counting up from 1 or down from 100 in your head if you start to feel a shutdown coming on. This will help calm your mind and create focus. 3. Squeeze Fist And Breath Deeply A good tip is to squeeze your first tight to release that energy, then breath in for 5 seconds, hold it for 5 seconds then breath out for 5 seconds.
