1.Phobia vs Anxiety
A phobia comes from a deep rooted fear that is caused by a trauma, this could be historical or fantasy. Where as anxiety is a mental health condition caused by a misguided reaction to an issue.
2.Therapy
Hypnosis Therapy can work for social phobias along with medication but a social anxiety will need CBT and other physiological therapy to improve it.

3.Fear vs Reaction
A social phobia is a genuine fear of social places and situations, but social anxiety is your body’s fight or flight response to a situation that makes you anxious.
